Antwon Key Discusses his photo essay "Red, White and Black"
Antwon Key's photo essay, "Red, White, and Black: A Visual Introspective of Alternative American Perspectives", explores the challenging relationship amid African-American citizenship and who gets the privilege to be critical and yet still patriotic. "Red, White and Black" won a 2018 Regional Award from PRINT Magazine and was included in the HOW+PRINT Magazine publication the Best of Design 2019. With a focus on Design for Social Change, Key aims to educate design scholars about how subtle messaging within their work can influence our society for the good. Professor Key believes that “Design—in the right hands—has the power to change our world for the better.” "Red, White and Black" won a 2018 Regional Award from PRINT Magazine and was included in the HOW+PRINT Magazine publication the Best of Design 2019.
