"All the world?s a stage, And all the men and women merely players." - Jaques Director Esme Allen places this production in a contemporary setting that resonates with the political climate of today. Duke Frederick usurps the dukedom from his brother, creating a highly charged court where injustice, rigidity and toxicity are norms. Surrounding the court is the forest of Arden, offering sanctuary as a place where individual freedoms, love and the power of self-expression can flourish.
