Love Songs from the Great American Songbook with Alexandra Grace

Music lovers, join us for a cozy Sunday afternoon concert to round out the Salem So Sweet weekend! Alexandra Grace will fill the Athenaeum reading room with the romantic melodies of jazz and popular standards from the Great American Songbook’s rich collection. Her renditions of "Misty" by Erroll Garner and "In A Sentimental Mood" by Duke Ellington will enchant and warm even the coldest hearts in winter. A skilled keyboardist and award-winning composer, you might remember Ms. Grace serenading guests at the Art in Garden parties in 2022 and 2023 or performing elsewhere on Cape Ann. Come warm your heart with music!

Alexandra Grace is a musician, songwriter, and artist based out of Gloucester, MA. Inspired by jazz, folk, lush lyricism, and classic fairytales, she blends her influences together to create a soulful and eclectic sound. She is a 2020 graduate of Berklee College of Music and has won several awards for her songs, including from the International Songwriting Competition and ‘Song of the Week’ from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. When she is not performing, you can find her running her music studio and school, Alexandra Grace Music, located in Rockport, MA, and exploring the visual arts.
