Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Tropical Products
Join us along with Mayor Pangallo as we celebrate the Grand Opening of Tropical Products brand new facility on Highland Ave. Tropical Products, Inc. is a “private label” liquids manufacturer of many brands of personal care, pet care & home care products. They do not have their own brands but rather produce other company’s brands. Many of these brands are sold in Walmart, Target, CVS, PetSmart, Petco, Amazon, Whole Foods, etc. Having started in Beverly in a 10’ X 10’ room in 1993, they continually outgrew their next spaces in the Cummings Center and Essex, MA before they purchased the Sun Burst Fruit Juice building at 220 Highland Ave. in 2001. After more than 20 years at 220 Highland, Tropical Products wanted to expand their production capacity and they decided to build a 100,000 sq. ft. ultra-modern bottling facility at 373 Highland Ave.
This state of the art building will allow Tropical to continue to grow exponentially, creating more jobs in Salem. Right now, they have 60 employees and aim to reach 100 employees within the next year. Tropical Products has enjoyed working with the City of Salem for many years and it was important for Tropical to stay in Salem. All Ribbon Cutting events are free to attend and all are invited.
