2026 Salem Chamber Haunted Happenings Grand Parade

Thursday, October 1
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

This year’s parade will feature the theme “Old-School Halloween”! As we celebrate Salem400+ this year, we're looking back at the evolution of Halloween through the ages. From the ancient traditions of Samhain to classic trick-or-treating, homemade costumes, and even the nostalgia of '90s Halloween movies, we can't wait to see your interpretation. There's no wrong way to celebrate Halloween! Join us as we light up the night with spooky spirit and community pride!

This time-honored kick off of the Halloween season is full of color, pageantry, music and the enthusiasm of thousands of Salem’s students from kindergarten to college and so many of our local businesses. Their participation is what makes this a highly successful, cherished event for our community.

After Hours at SSU O'Keefe Sports Complex

Wednesday, October 7
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Escape the crowds of Downtown Salem this month with us After Hours at Salem State University's O'Keefe Sports Complex then stick around afterwards to enjoy the SSU Men's Soccer team playing a match vs. Dean College.

The O'Keefe Athletic Complex houses Salem State University's Athletics Department, the Gassett Fitness Center, and the Sports, Sport, Movement, and Science academic programs. Enjoy an after work drink, lite hors d'ouevres, and connections with your fellow Chamber members. The networking event will take place inside the O'Keefe Complex from 5-7PM and then at 7PM, all guests are invited to head outside to the Soccer Field for the SSU Mens Soccer vs. Dean College match.

Coffee Connection at Root North Shore

Thursday, October 15
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Root’s mission is to help young adults create a pathway to independence through hands-on foodservice training and employment. By building essential life and workplace readiness skills, youth leave Root prepared for long-term success while making a meaningful impact in their community. Each week, Root youth employees produce more than 700 meals for seniors, families, and children experiencing food insecurity, in partnership with organizations like Lifebridge, Salem Pantry, Beverly Bootstraps, and other North Shore agencies.

Coffee Connections are designed to foster networking opportunities between local business leaders and provide ample time for discussions. They are a great way to reconnect with old acquaintances and build new ones.
